FORASTER
FORASTER
To say that he is a kind of Mallorcan Enrique Morente, cante jondo with a Levantine accent included, accompanied by less thick Lagartija Nick would be a way to talk about Foraster. But it is not easy to describe a band made up of a handful of musicians with whom we could explain the last 20 years of rock music in Felanitx and its surroundings, from Territorial Pissings to Saïm, passing through The Deep South and Sterlin.
But it is still easier to say what they do: a foreign music that is neither from here nor from there, sounds foreign anywhere in the universe and, for that reason, it is absolutely cosmic. Recorded with Paco Loco, the first album by Jose Cerro, Antoni Fiol, Miquel Torres, Jaume Amengual and Joan Roig is one of those albums that will take music made on the island to hitherto unexplored territory.
