If your Galician morriña –the so-called feeling of missing someone or something with a Northern Spanish accent– and your exquisite taste for the electronic music get together, the most likely thing to happen is Baiuca. Or at least that is what happened to Alex Casanova when he decided to leave his electropop solo project to mix his native folklore with the avant-garde of Techno, House and the Global Bass back in 2017.

Baiuca is a cultural and political vindication that sounds like cunchas, bagpipes and tambourines just as much as a club’s dance floor. Live on stage Casanova is accompanied by the video artist Adrián Canoura who will project his own aesthetic universe where the symbols of traditional Galicia collide with its most contemporary reality.
