CALA BLANCA

Cala Blanca beach is located 3 km away from the town of Puerto de Andratx. It’s a small beach with pebbles and rocks in a natural inlet between cliffs on the west coast of Majorca.

Crystal-clear waters, rocky bottom and some sandy areas. The low forest predominates the surroundings of the beach, formed mainly by pine trees and thicket.

The closest beaches to Cala Blanca are Cala En Cranc and Camp de Mar, both in the municipality of Andratx.

PLAYA DE FORMENTOR

The spectacular Formentor beach is one of the best in Majorca. Its location, one of the island’s most remote virgin spots, gives the beach a magical setting everyone that visits falls in love with. 

Located in Cabo de Formentor, the beach has a narrow strip of sand nearly one kilometer long surrounded by a pine forest, an ideal shelter on a hot summer day. Although it is usually quite crowded during high season, it is a place that you cannot miss.

CALA FIGUERA

Cala Figuera cove lays about 60 kilometers from the centre of Palma. The two-part Y-shaped bay is located on the southeast coast of Majorca. Caló d’En Boira and Caló d’En Busques are the two inlets bounded by shallow cliffs. At the end of the bay you will find the magical fishing village of Cala Figuera, which is hidden between rocky cliffs, pine and fig trees. The facades of the fishermen’s houses and the boathouses are white and ocher. Undoubtedly a photograph that you need to take.

ES TRENC

Es Trenc was the chosen location for this year’s lineup artwork. Known and longed-for by many, Es Trenc is a 7 km-long natural beach located on the southern coast of Majorca. With its white sand, turquoise waters and inland low-angle dunes it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Spain. 

This white-sand natural beach holds everyone spellbound because of its Caribbean feel. Depending on the time of day and the light, the sea offers a deep blue, turquoise or emerald green brilliance. A paradise in which to enjoy the sun, the sand and the sea.

PLAYA DE MURO

Playa de Muro ranks as one of the 25 best beaches in the world according to Tripadvisor and on the European top three.

Under the sun, its crystal-clear water lights up in turquoise blue and the sand shines like snow. This beach is less than 6 km long and lays on the northern coast of Majorca extending between Puerto d’Alcúdia and Can Picafort. Nearby stands the S’Albufera nature reserve, home to countless water birds. A perfect place for endless walks. 

CALA FALCÓ

Cala Falcó is a small, sandy cove nestled between medium-height cliffs located in the municipality of Calvià, in the southwest of Majorca. It is 25 m long and up to 60 m wide. It is undoubtedly one of the best coves in the island due to its waters and its surroundings.

Cala Falcó is a surprisingly well-preserved natural environment. Pine trees reach the shore providing good shade, and the waters are clear and usually calm.

This U-shaped inlet between the Sa Bella Dona beach and Cap des Falcó ends in a sand and algae closed cove. Pine forests and mountains surround this beautiful place and extend their branches to the inviting water, just leaving room on the front to sunbathe. One nautical mile away stands the Club Náutico Palmanova and a little further on you will find Port Adriano.

CALÓ DES MORO

Paradise exists and in Majorca it has a name of its own: Caló Des Moro. A small cove located in the south of the island lapped with the clearest waters in the whole Balearic Islands. Caló des Moro’s water looks like a swimming pool. It is one of the most spectacular and heavenly coves on the island that you cannot miss for the world.

Year after year, Caló Des Moró heads the list of idyllic beaches in Spain. And there are plenty of reasons why. This small sandy area located between cliffs has a hue of crystal clear turquoise water. Just a 15 minute-walk from where you have to park your car will lead you to what is probably the best cove in Majorca.

CALA S’ALMUNIA

Cala s’Almunia is a small, rocky cove with crystal-clear waters at the foot of an old fishermen’s refuge in the southeast of Majorca which is used nowadays as a bathing area.

Its charming and picturesque setting, thanks to the old fishermen’s houses built on the rocks and the intense blue of its waters, make it a great alternative to its neighbor, Es Caló des Moro, which can become too crowded during the summer months.

Cala s’Almunia is divided into two bathing areas. The first, next to the dock and the small houses that are built on the rocks, and the second, on the opposite side, where Cala es Maquer is located, a small stretch of sand and rocks.

SA CALOBRA

Sa Calobra is located in the middle of Sierra de Tramuntana, in the municipality of Escorca. This beautiful beach is sheltered by two imposing cliffs that recreate a real cinematic landscape. It is one of the most recommended trips on the island, either along a beautiful winding road with spectacular views, by sea on a boat that leaves daily from Puerto de Sóller or on foot descending the Torrent de Pareis. A 100% recommended visit. 

CALA MONDRAGÓ

This beautiful fine sand beach is one of the essentials during your tourist experience in Majorcan territory. Cala Mondragó is located in an enclave of remarkable ecological value within the Mondragó Natural Park and very close to the town of Santanyí, one of the best beach areas on the island.

The beach, with totally crystal-clear and turquoise waters, extends its 75 metres of fine white sand between two rocky cliffs. It is surrounded by pine forests and rocks, offering a wonderful view. This makes it one of the best blue flag beaches in Majorca. And it is because of its protected territory status that this place avoided urban excesses and mass tourism and has been able to preserve its essence.

PORTAL VELLS

The spectacular Portals Vells beach, also known as Sa Caleta, is a natural environment of incredible beauty and scenic interest.

This natural wonder lays 9 km away from the Magaluf area. A sea inlet between the Xisclet and s’Estaca points, it is divided into several arms that end in this sandy area where three beaches are located: Portals Vells, Playa del Mago and Playa del Rey. 

A lush pine forest surrounds this beautiful beach created between caves, cliffs and sea inlets. The forest area extends between Cap de Cala Figuera and Refalbetx, which together with the El Toro small island they’re part of the Natural Areas of Special Interest catalogue approved by the Balearic Parliament and of the Special Protection Areas for Birds of the European Union.

In the vicinity of the beach there are many spots of scenic interest, amongst which the “Cova de La Mare de Déu” stands out: an old “marés” quarry, where the stone blocks were extracted in the 14th and 15th centuries to build the Palma Cathedral and the Santa Eulàlia church.
