With only two EP published, Carolina Durante sent a message: don’t believe the hype. By the time their first LP was released, the hype turned to reality and the band became the voice of an entire Spanish generation: the one in their twenties confused and tired before reaching 30.

Their sound travels back from both the classic pop-rock made in Spain and the alternative scene raised in Madrid during the late eighties and nineties, while the lyrics stay pretty close to the present routine of social media, casual relationships and questions without an answer in Google. Carolina Durante is part of the new wave in Spanish music nowadays, with guitars being back to the spotlight in these times of trap and radio hits feeling more true than ever. Who said hype in first place?
