The international airport of Son Sant Joan, located 8 km from Palma de Mallorca, is the main gateway to Mallorca. Thanks to the popularity of the island as a tourist destination, there is a wide range of direct flights, with most European cities, especially from Germany and the United Kingdom.

Sea transport is another alternative for those who do not want to fly, or that travel with their own car. There are daily joruneys to the port of Palma de Mallorca from the ports of Barcelona, Valencia, Denia, Ibiza, Ciudadela and Mahón. The Port of Alcudia is another important port, with connections to Menorca and Barcelona. In the port of Cala Rajada, there is a daily boat that goes to the port of Ciudadela, in the neighboring island of Menorca, and takes one hour and thirty minutes.
