EL CAIRO

El Cairo is a band based in Menorca and formed in 2018. After several changes in its lineup, it finally lays the foundations and makes its influences clear, which range from Britpop to shoegaze to American powerpop, without leaving aside independent groups of the nineties. Its five members come from different musical groups (Los Gallos, The Bankers, No Tocar, L’Antuan…) with very different styles from each other but have managed to get along masterfully.

After presenting their songs at different festivals and concerts, they went to neighbouring Mallorca to record their first EP, Like an alien, with Jaime García Soriano (Sexy Sadie, Sr Nadie, Amaral…). They are finalising what will be their first LP with the same producer.
