LOVE OF LESBIAN

LOVE OF LESBIAN

A true institution in what we know as Spanish indie and responsible for leaving songs like ‘John Boy Fan Club’ for posterity, Love of Lesbian began its musical journey at the turn of the century. Throughout their first decade of life they released their first albums, as they built their own identity that makes them a unique band in their scene. It was in 2009 with their iconic album 1999 (o cómo generar incendios de nieve con una lupa enfocando la luna) when they ceased to be considered a promise and took two steps forward in their career. They exploded for the general public.

The albums La Noche Eterna/Los Días No Vividos (2012) and El Poeta Halley (2016) consolidated their status as a musical reference for national pop and burst strongly into Mexico and Latin America. Long and successful tours, festivals, gold records, collaborations with the biggest artists of the national scene… Santi Balmes and his colleagues have done everything and more in these 20 years, and they go on. After closing in style the tour of their latest record, V.E.H.N. (Viaje Épico Hacia La Nada) (2021) at Madrid’s Wizink Center, the Catalan band prepares to take on the festivals in 2024, including a stop at Mallorca Live Festival.
