MARÍA HEIN
MARÍA HEIN
Her reinterpretation of the popular song ‘La dama de Mallorca’, with a more current, electronic and experimental sound, was the first clue. Young Majorcan singer and songwriter María Hein was entering a new stage and the definitive proof is her second album, Tot allò que no sap ningú (2023). María adopts a chameleonic attitude and opts for electronic elements and a more minimalist production, where the voice is the main instrument that supports each of the songs. With this new sound she will present at the festival an album where she’s had Mr. Chen and Ferran Palau by her side and which features collaborations with Rita Payés, Mushkaa and Socunbohemio.
The artist had presented herself to the world in 2021 with Continent i contingut, a delicate album, where she mixed folk and pop, and in which she gave off a unique magic that took your breath away. That magic made her become one of the stand-out artists of the moment and led her to win several Enderrock awards and be nominated for the 2022 Cerverí Award for best lyrics for ‘Sa teva presència’ and the 2023 Alicia Awards from the Catalan Music Academy for Best Emerging Talent.
