NEGRE

From the Majorcan town of Santa María del Camí arrives the band Negre, formed in 2022 by Fabi Bover (voice and guitar), Pasqual Marí (drums) and Josep Campins (bass). They won first prize at the 2023 Palma Pop Rock Contest and will stop by our festival to present their first EP, Un himne qualsevol (2023).

The group debuts with a self-produced record which shines thanks to its catchy melodies and lyrics in Catalan of their own style, with influences from Catalan and American synthpop (Future Islands, Manel, The War On Drugs). This first EP is made up of four songs, in which the mixing work by David “The Mars Citizen” (Mala Rodríguez, Kidd Keo) or the work of producer Panxii Badii (Núria Graham, El Petit De Cal Eril, Da Souza) stands out. And songs mixed by Fabi Bover himself in his home studio and engineer Victor Garcia in the Ultramarinos studio (Barcelona).
