THE K’S

THE K’S

If you haven’t encountered The K’s impassioned bangers, let us catch you up: In the last 12 months alone they’ve sold out a UK national tour and the 2,700 tickets to their recent Manchester Academy show sold out in 24 hours. They’ve had main stage performances at The Isle of Wight Festival, Leeds and Reading & Kendal Calling, they have played before Indie Legend Liam Gallagher in Greece as well as supporting Mancunian stalwarts James in Spain and US icons Blondie on Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

The latest sensation coming out of Merseyside county (sunny Earlestown, situated slap bang between Manchester and Liverpool) is on its way to our stage. Their gigs are a guaranteed riot, but this pulsing live reputation shouldn’t overlook the sophistication that gives The K’s their immediately identifiable blueprint though, as shown by debut single ‘Sarajevo’ –one of the few rock & roll songs to namecheck Austro-Hungary– or their latest release, ‘Heart On My Sleeve’. As they put the finishing touches to their 2024 debut album, I Wonder If The World Knows? –through cool Manchester indie label LAB Records– it is clear that with each new release The K’s will just keep growing. We will be some of the first to see it live.
