CARMEN Y MARÍA

From the hood to the city and back again, Carmen and María form a duo who fuse their voices in the same way they dare to blend the rhythmic richness of flamenco with contemporary music: making groove and ‘soniquete’ (rhythm) the pillars of their musical expression. Unintentionally, they gained recognition through a series of acoustic videos on social media that quickly garnered praise from artists such as Alba Molina, Alejandro Sanz, and David de Jacoba. They were also noticed by La Plazuela, with whom Carmen and María have shared the stage as backing vocalists.

The duo has been forging their own path since the release of their debut album, Groove y soniquete (2025), an intimate, luminous, and powerful work where vocal harmonies become the axis of a new, free, and authentic musical identity.
