LA PLAZUELA
Friday 12

Manuel Hidalgo Sierra and Luis Abril Martín are La Plazuela, a project where staying true to their origins is crucial: Andalusian popular culture, and especially that of their homeland, Granada. Their music vindicates their roots, which they achieve through a contemporary and renewed sound built on the pillars of flamenco, electronic music, and nu funk.
After surprising the Spanish alternative scene with one of the most interesting and fresh offerings on their debut album, Roneo Funk Club (2023), as well as captivating the Mallorca Live audience with a magnetic live performance, the duo returns to the island with their new songs. In 2025, they released Lugar nº0 (D.L.Y.) – an acronym derived from the English expression “Don’t Lose Yourself” – their second album, where they elevate their sound to the next level and once again enthrall us with elements of jazz, jungle, Japanese city pop, salsa, and much more, where complex and emotional themes are reflected in their musical evolution.
