THE LIBERTINES

Friday 12

More than 20 years after their first visit, the unmistakable voices and guitars of The Libertines return to the island – and for the first time at Mallorca Live. Led by Carl Barât and Pete Doherty, they are one of the flagship bands of the post-punk and garage rock revival of the early 2000s, thanks to a debut album as powerful as Up The Bracket (2002), followed by The Libertines (2004). These two albums defined an era and the quick rise of a band also marked by its internal conflicts.

After a few years’ hiatus, The Libertines reunited and released a new album in 2015, Anthems For Doomed Youth, a celebrated comeback that sold out every show, proving that the spark that united Carl and Pete was still there. And that their songs had left a deep mark on an entire generation. The British quartet continues to move forward, creating the best material of their career, with their fourth album, All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade (2024).
