El Kanka is that singer-songwriter from Malaga who over 15 years ago decided to leave his city for Madrid to take a chance in music and now it’s safe to say that it was one of the best decisions he made. Under the alias stands Juan Gómez, a self-made artist who slowly but surely has let his career breathe as one does with good wine.
Since he introduced himself with Lo mal que estoy y lo poco que me quejo (2013), his talent and spontaneity have led him to conquer audiences in Spain and Latin America. A particular fusion of sounds and the right doses of humor, poetry and enveloping rhythms have made their songs recognizable from the first chord. El Kanka continues to exude optimism in his lyrics and keeps working for honest music and will bring his unique live to our festival that will surely put a huge smile upon our face.
